The renowned Mineirão stadium, located in Belo Horizonte, is one of the most important sports venues in Brazil. The stadium was refurbished in preparation for the Confederations Cup 2013, the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and the 2016 Summer Olympics. The original, historically important front façade was maintained while a new structure was added to upgrade the seating capacity to 64,000.

Description:
Located in Northern Italy in the Trentino Alto Adige region, a key part of the Mittewald Tunnel was restored through the removal of a 10-15cm layer of deteriorated concrete. The 180m-long section was first hydro-sandblasted and a new drainage system for the construction joints was designed to protect the tunnel cap from hydrostatic pressure.

The sandblasted layer was restored with PENETRON ADMIX Enhanced Shotcrete (PAES), which completely stopped water penetration and facilitated the water flow into the new drainage system.
Description:
A 237-unit luxury apartment mid-rise building (with street-level retail shops) just south of Coral Gables’ Miracle Mile, the Modera Coral Gables hassix residential floors abovethree levels of parking and a large pool on the fourth floor. The construction site was 5’ under the water table, making installation of a bentonite mat impossible. A waterproofing product was needed to allow placement of the concrete into the waterlogged site, despite constantly high heads of water pressure.
Products Used:
All below grade concrete structures of the three-level parking garage, including the matt slab on grade and perimeter walls were treated with PENETRON ADMIX. PENEBAR SW-55 was used in all the below grade construction joints and around all intrusions in the slab on grade (concrete foundation slab) and the basement walls. PENETRON technology was also used on the 4th floor pool structure. Within a matter of days, the whole structure was completely dry.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is one of the top tourist attractions in the U.S.A. and has a high circulation of fresh ocean water pumped in through pipes from Monterey Bay. The aquarium has a 10 meter (33-foot) high 333,000- gallon (1,260,000 l) tank and a larger 1,200,000-gallon (4,500,000 l) tank. More than 1.8 million people visit the aquarium annually.

The Espirito Santo Sanitation Authority (CESAN) expanded the Mulembá sewage treatment plant, located in the Joan D’Arc neighborhood of Vitória. The upgrade of the new facility will make Vitória the first Brazilian state capital that treats 100% of its sewage.

The renovation of the MuXiYuan Sports Academy provides up-to-date training facilities and serves as the main training base for the Chinese National Aquatics Team. The project entailed major reconstruction and renovation work.

Description:
The popular 532-foot (161m) long, 40-foot (12m) high St. Clairsville bike tunnel was plagued with water leakage and, in colder months, ice build-up, making the tunnel unsafe. An innovative construction solution used PENETRON crystalline waterproofing technology to waterproof both the previous concrete structure as well as the new liner. The results exceeded the engineers’ expectations.

This luxurious 200-unit condominium development was built in the Nordelta not far from Buenos Aires, a swampy land with high groundwater levels. It was essential to protect the concrete walls directly exposed to ground water and against water pressure from the bayside.

One of the largest ethanol production facilities in the USA, Northeast Biofuels will use 41 million bushels of corn annually to produce 114 million gallons of ethanol. This New York facility will be a major part of ethanol's expansion beyond the Midwest corn states; the ethanol will be marketed primarily in New York State and the Northeast as a clean-burning, oil-saving gasoline additive.
